Start the week off right with this healthy and delicious salmon recipe. Grilling on cedar planks adds an intense, smoky flavor that takes this dish to the next level. Here's what you'll need:
- 1 cedar plank (6 x 14 inches)
- 2 fresh salmon filets (1.5 lbs total)
- Soy Vay's Veri Veri Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
- Chef Paul's Magic Salmon Seasoning
- 2 lemon wedges
Soak cedar plank in water for 1-2 hours and marinate fresh salmon filets in Soy Vay's Veri Veri Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce for 1-2 hours as well. Fire up your gas or charcoal grill to 375 degrees and place cedar plank on the grill. In the meantime, remove fresh salmon filets from marinade and season generously with Chef Paul's Magic Salmon Seasoning. Once you hear the cedar plank start crackling and popping (usually takes 10-15 minutes), flip the plank over and place salmon filets on plank. Close the grill lid and cook for 20-30 minutes depending on the how big the filets are. The internal temperature of the fish should be around 135 degrees. Transfer salmon to a platter for serving and squeeze lemon on top. BOOM!
Pair this dish with a glass of these recommended wines and you'll forget that Monday ever happened. If you're in the mood for white wine, Desert Wind's Viognier is the perfect complement. Go with this versatile Pinot Noir from Deep Sea Wines in Santa Barbara if you're in the mood for red. Cheers!
