Winestyr Review

The 2016 Adelsheim Vineyards Breaking Ground Pinot Noir is a long time Winestyr members favorite. The Breaking Ground Pinot Noir is a blend of more than 60% estate vineyards with select high-altitude hillside vineyards throughout Chehalem Mountains. Elevage takes place in 20% new French oak for 11 months.

Adelsheim Vineyard

Adelsheim (pronounced Addels-Heim) was founded in 1971 by David and Ginny Adelsheim with one pursuit: to create world-class wines in the undiscovered wine region that would later become Chehalem Mountains AVA, a venerable subregion of Oregon's famous Willamette Valley. One of the original, most influential, and most important producers of the region, Adelsheim has a long track record of producing some of the finest Burgundian-style Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays produced domestically. We're very proud to add some of their most exclusive wines to our portfolio.
