The dream of making Scheurebe finally came to fruition for Brook Bannister in 2019 as he got his hands on a tiny amount from a vineyard in the shadow of Geyser Peak. He let the skins soak in the juice to extract color and texture before pressing to tank. This wine is heady, intensely aromatic, and full of surprises the whole way through.
The Bannister's have been making hand crafted, small lot wines in Sonoma County since 1989 with a particular focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel. Growing up, Brook was involved in harvest and critical points in the process when he wasn’t busy in school. Today it is Brook Bannister pushing the estate forward with continued investment in Sonoma's best sites and wines that communicate a clear place of origin.
