Winestyr Review

This is a beautiful, almost rugged, Pinot Noir made by Pinot master Jon Grant with fruit from Marin County. Pure and concentrated with incredible balance, this Pinot Noir has it all. Focused notes of wild raspberry and strawberry, counterbalanced by Norcal forest notes of smoldering campfire, dank forest floor, and coastal breeze, this is a living example of how and why Pinot Noir has thrived on the North Coast of California. Aged for 12 months in 100% new French oak. 100% Pinot Noir. Only 194 cases produced.

Couloir Wines

After about 3 years of trading phone calls every few months or so, where most of the conversation centered around skiing, as opposed to wine, I'm very excited that Jon Grant, proprietor of Couloir Wines has decided to join the Winestyr platform. Prior to starting Couloir, Jon honed his craft working in the cellars of many of Napa Valley’s top wineries, including Turley Wine Cellars, PlumpJack Winery, Corison Wines, and Robert Mondavi Winery. He has become a Pinot Noir master and his wines showcase elegance, uniqueness, and have earned impressive acclaim.

It has a nice bold smooth after taste. A great and distinct Pinot!
