This perennial favorite Chardonnay boasts bright fruit flavors, good acidity, and a round mouthfeel. Its medium-body makes it a terrific pairing with a variety of food, but also wonderful on its own. It is a terrific representation of the Chardonnay varietal, and a solid example of why relatively new winemaker, Brooks Friedeman, is receiving significant praise from wine critics.
What started as a love for and passion to explore the world of wine while living in Chicago soon blossomed into the real thing for Brooks Friedeman. The first vintage was particularly small, only 250 cases produced, and the Friedemans sold nearly all of it to a select few accounts back home in the Windy City. Momentum picked up the following year when Wine Spectator awarded each and every wine of their 90 or more points.
