Sourced from a combination of estate vineyards, The Don makes its triumphant return for the release of its 2016 vintage. Aged in a combination of small and large format wood, the wine is deepened by a combination of baking spice and ripe black fruits, bringing this full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend to a long, smooth finish. Our first offering of this wine was an instant hit and we're thrilled to once again showcase this beautiful cuvée. 90pts Wine Spectator.
Gård is a true family operation in a state where industrial-sized wineries too often reign supreme. Josh and Lisa moved back to Royal City in 2001 where they teamed up with Josh’s father and uncle to create a farming-first operation of the highest order. In addition to beautiful examples of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Riesling, and Viognier (among so many others) the farming operations also span apple orchards, cherry orchards, and a variety of other crops, such as wheat, hay and dried beans.
