Winestyr Review

This is a deliciously full-bodied red blend from the Mendoza region of Argentina, made by Santiago Achaval, widely considered the top winemaker in Argetina. This blend is mostly Malbec, with a good amount of Syrah and Petit Verdot as well. It has the fruit profile of Malbec, but also pepper and body from the Syrah and Petit Verdot. Firm but approachable tannins round out the wine, making this approachable now but also clear it would be great with a few more years of age.

What We Love

  • Sophisticated, deep, and complex
  • Well-integrated oak
  • Expertly crafted

Buy this exotic Malbec-based blend and drink it on a date with someone you want to impress

Where are the ratings?

Are the wines any good? Yes, they are and we taste every wine that is considered for our site. We seek out the best wines from the best small-producers in the U.S. and Winestyr is a collection of our favorites. Most of the wines have impressive accolades, however, don't look for "expert" ratings here - we think it's more important to buy wines you find interesting and to decide for yourself. This is a big, full bodied red. Open early and let it breath. Great with beef or on its own.
