Lacuna means "an unfilled space or interval" and the wine veterans behind this collaborative venture saw that gap in American winemaking and are closing it. They currently focus on one wine - a super-complex, Rhone-style red blend composed of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Carignan, Zinfandel, and Viognier made by up-and-coming wine superstar, Morgan Twain-Peterson. This is truly one of the most interesting wines we've tasted and we believe that Lacuna is on the forefront of what the next generation of American wine is all about - smart, complex, nuanced wines that trade power for sophistication.
