This is a triumphant follow up to the vintage named Wine Enthusiast's Wine of the Year in 2020! The winemaking brilliance of Philippe Melka and what might be the vintage of the century combine here for a truly world-class Cabernet Sauvignon with plush black fruits, toasty and warm baking spices, firm tannins, and a creamy texture. An endless finish hints at the wine's long, long life ahead.
Lail Vineyards is the culmination of more than 100 years in the Napa Valley wine business. Robin's great-granduncle founded Inglenook Vineyards in 1879 and her father, John Daniel Jr., carried Inglenook's legacy forward from Prohibition until the winery's sale in 1964. Needless to say, the history and pedigree of this winemaking family is undeniable!
