750 ML / 14.0% ABV
This is a really nice Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux style wine from Santa Barbara. This wine is more restrained and old world in style than most wines from Santa Barbara and that's one of the things we like about it. Aged for 24 months in French oak. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petite Verdot, 7% Malbec. 1,014 cases produced.
Louis Lucas, a third generation grape grower, and Superior Court Judge Royce Lewellen formed a partnership in 1996. With three diverse, high quality vineyards in Santa Barbara County they have been producing distinct wines of exceptional quality and value ever since. As the owners once said, "From the beginning, we set our sights on doing nothing that we couldn't be proud of. Today, I am pleased to say that I am proud of Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards, from the grapes, to the wines, to the staff of exceptional people who make it all happen. But, as we like to say: You ain't seen nothin' yet! The best is still to come."
