Heat waves defined the 2015 vintage and produced concentrated, powerful expressions if Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Luminous Hills was able to produce an incredibly balanced wine here, intertwining refreshing red fruits with a lush, structured palate. One-quarter of the wine went through whole cluster fermentation and 20% new oak was used for 16 months.
Byron Dooley’s passion for wine began in college, was fostered around the world, enriched in Napa Valley, and continues through today. The story of how he found his way to his dream job began while Byron was attending Oregon State University. He and his wife, Dana, were first introduced to wine through wine tasting excursions that Byron can still recall today.
