2012 Sauvignon Blanc

By: Mill Creek Vineyards & Winery

In: Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma, CA

750mL / 14.5% ABV

Buy this Sauvignon Blanc because it legitimately smells like cat piss (something rare and sought after by some Sauv Blanc lovers) - bone dry and fantastic

This is a bone-dry Sauvignon Blanc from the Dry Creek Valley that is extremely clean and crisp. The perfect wine for the patio or to start the evening...a quintessential Sonoma Sauv Blanc.

Conceived in 1965 when the Kreck family first planted grapes, Mill Creek Vineyards & Winery was not actually born until nine years later with the first production of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. These expertly crafted wines are produced from grapes grown on the winery estate, the family home in Alexander Valley, and a few select neighboring vineyards. Several members of the Kreck family currently work on the Mill Creek property and their goal remains the same as always - grow excellent fruit. That, combined with Jeremy Kreck's basic philosophy to let the fruit shine, has resulted in standout wines that you will not forget.

Where are the ratings?

Are the wines any good? Yes, they are and we taste every wine that is considered for our site. We seek out the best wines from the best small-producers in the U.S. and Winestyr is a collection of our favorites. Most of the wines have impressive accolades, however, don't look for "expert" ratings here - we think it's more important to buy wines you find interesting and to decide for yourself.
