Varietal Petite Sirah

Vintage 2011

Winestyr Review

This wine is a deep, dark, inky purple in the glass - so dark and purple, in fact, that it's almost alarming at first. The nose hints at what is a world-class wine in the glass. Bold, ripe, big, and opulent while still, somehow, maintaining balance and finesse. The finish goes on and on and the depth of this wine is seemingly endless. Aged for 21 months in neutral French oak barrels. 100% Petite Sirah. Only 120 cases produced.

Overland Wines

Overland Wines is the moniker for the wines produced by Dick Keenan who has earned fame from the extremely high quality grapes he grows at his Kick Ranch property tucked up against the mountain side in Sonoma County just off of Calistoga road which is the quick way to get from Sonoma County to Napa Valley. He sells the majority of his fruit to cult producers such as Failla, Bedrock Wine Co., Delectus, Paul Hobbs, and many others. The Keenan's wine label, Overland is poised to become a big name as the wines are exquisite.
