This is an exceptional Grenache-based wine from the famous Glenrose Vineyard in the Adelaida District AVA of Paso Robles. The idea behind the wine was to create a snapshot of the entire property as each varietal has a "song of its own." The resulting wine is balanced with each varietal in perfect harmony. Great minerality to go with bright fruit and just the right amount of acid and tannin. This is a very, very drinkable and food-friendly wine. Pair with anything from carnitas tacos to lamb shanks. Aged for 12 months in neutral oak. 55% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, 12% Syrah, 3% Counoise.
Paix Sur Terre, French for "Peace on Earth," has quickly become one of Paso Robles’ most sought after and critically acclaimed wineries. They focus on balanced, mineral-driven wines made in small lots with fruit from some of the region’s best vineyards. Attention first went to their single vineyard Mourvedre wines but Ryan has shown that Paso can indeed produce world class white wines from grapes like Picpoul and Clairette Blanche.
