Winestyr Review

Scallop Shelf is generally a lighter style than the two other estate Pinots, emphasizing floral and citrus aromatics with more a savory and earth driven finish on the palate. We hate to say this wine is more "Burgundian" but there certainly is a definitive sense of place here, as though you can feel the Pacific fog rolling in while you swirl your glass and size up your next sip. The wine saw 31% new French oak for 11 months and was bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Peay Vineyards

The winery is very much a family affair, with Nick Peay and his wife Vanessa Wong running the vineyards and winemaking, respectively, and Andy Peay directing sales and growing the business. Peay’s wines are most often allocated to Michelin-starred restaurants and the most discerning wine merchant shops around the country. We are thrilled to offer very limited quantities to our members.
