Wabi-Sabi is the Japanese idea of "perfectly imperfect." As such, this natural wine pays homage to the amazingly quaffable table wines of Europe with its fresh, tart flavor and lighter-bodied nature. This wine would pair well with foods and is equally perfect for drinking on its own. Not complex, but fun and drinkable, chill this wine to around 60 degrees prior to opening and enjoy. 100% native yeast fermentation. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 36% Syrah, 28% Carignane, 18% Zinfandel, 6% Pinot Noir, 6% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Tempranillo. 800 cases produced.
Diego and Shaunt have one of the most unique winery setups in the country, if not the world. Tucked into the hills above Orinda, which is just a few minutes outside of Oakland, this duo crafts their flagship natural wines in the raised basement of Shaunt’s family home. That’s right, they lifted the house to make sure the cellar (er...basement) had room for their barrel stacks. It’s a true bootstrap operation but one that has yielded incredible wines beloved by natural wine enthusiasts.
