In this inaugural vintage, Rally Point has created a wonderfully enjoyable Pinot Noir from Sonoma's Russian River Valley. Light bodied and silky smooth, this wine is driven by cherry flavors with some undertones of oak and earth. Good acid and balance make this a wine you'll go back to. Aged 8 months on the lees in French oak barrels. Unfined and unfiltered. Only 157 cases produced.
Rally Point Wines was created by two Army veterans, Tim and Kate Burgess, who turned their love affair with wine country and winemaking into a business that gives back to the community in a meaningful way...not to mention they make world class wines. The name "Rally Point" is a military term that means a place to regroup during or after a mission, and now that Tim and Kate have completed their military service, they are giving back by donating a portion of Rally Point's sales to various veterans' organizations. Not only do we appreciate Rally Point's story and noble cause, we find their wines to be complex, unique, and right in our wheelhouse. These are exactly the type small-production wines and winery partners that we envisioned working with when we started Winestyr, and we know you'll enjoy them as much as we do.
