A delicious and round Viognier with good acid, nice balance, and intense tropical fruit and floral flavors. Sometimes Viogniers tend to get a little muddled and flabby, but this wine has great structure and a laser-like focus. I really enjoyed this wine that won a gold medal at the SF Chronicle Wine Competition in 2016.
Rally Point Wines was created by two Army veterans, Tim and Kate Burgess, who turned their love affair with wine country and winemaking into a business that gives back to the community in a meaningful way...not to mention they make world class wines. The name "Rally Point" is a military term that means a place to regroup during or after a mission, and now that Tim and Kate have completed their military service, they are giving back by donating a portion of Rally Point's sales to various veterans' organizations. Not only do we appreciate Rally Point's story and noble cause, we find their wines to be complex, unique, and right in our wheelhouse. These are exactly the type small-production wines and winery partners that we envisioned working with when we started Winestyr, and we know you'll enjoy them as much as we do.
