Producer Reynoso Family Vineyards

Varietal Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage 2012

Winestyr Review

The 2012 vintage wasn't only spectacular in Napa Valley, but also in Sonoma Valley, and, specifically, Sonoma's Alexander Valley, which is known for producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignons thanks to the likes of Silver Oak. This wine showcases estate Alexander Valley fruit from this great vintage and is a great value at $36. Big, but not overwhelming, fruit flavors and well-integrated oak flavors make this a wine you'll come back for time and time again. Aged for 30 months in 25% new French oak. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 475 cases produced.

Reynoso Family Vineyards

Reynoso Family Vineyards proprietors, Joe and Elena Reynoso, are committed to producing small lots of estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. The remote 550 acre estate was originally purchased in 1994, and since then their grapes have been sold to some of Sonoma's top wine producers. Reynoso Family Vineyards currently farms 155 of the 550 acres, keeping only a tiny percentage of the finest grapes on the estate for their own wines. Ultimately, their goal is to craft fruit-driven wines that display distinctive varietal character and intensity without sacrificing elegance and their own element of terroir. Joe Reynoso would also enjoy seeing the Chicago Cubs win the world series in his lifetime.
