This inaugural release of the 2016 Riley’s Rows "Three by Three" Proprietary Red Blend reflects a proficiency in wine-making far beyond Riley's years. A blend of Merlot (50%), Syrah (46%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (4%), it contains soft tannins, red and dark fruit flavors, and a very appropriate dose of acidity. The result is a robust but very approachable wine that possesses delightful complexity, all culminating with a pleasant long finish. It is a treat to drink now, but we also expect it will age quite well for an extended period of time. 216 cases produced.
Riley Flanagan planted her first grapevine when she was just two years old with the help of her father, Eric. From that moment on, her desire to make wine has fueled her efforts to become a winemaker who "produces great wines, made with integrity, at an accessible price." The name, "Riley's Rows," is a heartfelt reference to the vines she planted with her father many years ago, and with her current releases, she is excited to share the first ever bottling of wine made from those very plants.
