This is another exceptional wine from winemaker Sean Boyd at Washington's Rôtie Cellars. With a focus on crafting traditional Rhone style wines with some of the best fruit Washington state has to offer, this Southern Rhone style blend is a knockout. Soft, ripe red fruit greets you on the first sip with a mouthwatering acidity, follwed by crushed dried flowers and herbs, vanilla, and minerality. This wine is truly a pleasure to drink and would pair well with a variety of rich, savory foods. 70% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, 5% Syrah. 93pts and Editor's Choice from Wine Enthusiast. 988 cases produced.
Rotie Cellars was born out of a desire to pay homage to the wines of the France's Rhône Valley. Since 2007, winemaker and owner Sean Boyd's goal has been to make traditional Rhône blends in Washington State. Boyd's winemaking philosophy is simple - combine old world winemaking techniques with the highest quality Rhône varietals that Washington has to offer. Boyd sources from some of the best and oldest vineyards in the state in an effort to showcase the most elegant blend possible, while ensuring the typicity of the fruit is expressed. Rotie's program is small and focused, and production limited. Each lot is individually attended to, allowing for an uncompromising approach to quality and the results so far have been exceptional with too many accolades to list. Rotie Cellars is one of the first Washington producers on the Winestyr platform and we're proud to offer their wines to you.
