750 ML / 13.0% ABV
This is a gorgeous expression of Blaufränkisch, one of Austria's most important varietals, is capable of when grown with care at a small, organically farmed vineyard in California's Santa Ynez Valley AVA. Approachable, yet complex, this wine has raspberry and tart cherry flavors that are counterbalanced by pleasing mineral notes of gunpowder and pencil shavings. The structure is elegant and firm, with feminine grace - a wonderfully enjoyable and interesting micro-production wine from Solminer. 91pts and Editor's Choice from Wine Enthusiast. 72 cases produced.
How it happened was pure serendipity but in 2012, Anna and David deLaski started Solminer Wine to fulfill a dream - to create well-balanced California wine from their local, organically farmed vineyard and express and share their love for Austrian varietals...and for each other. David wanted to shift his experience as a tastemaker in the DJ/electronic music scene after running a boutique record label in Los Angeles for over a decade and focus on creating a boutique wine label. He enjoys wine and music as creative and artistic sense oriented pursuits and is passionately obsessed with both.
