This is a rich, full-bodied Syrah from the aptly named Smoke Vineyard in Sonoma. The wine is packed with dark berry flavors and has wonderful smokey bacon fat undertones along with a backbone of toasted oak. This wine has wonderful aromatics thanks to the addition of 5% Viognier which also provides lift on the palate. This wine would be great paired with game or heartier dishes like stews or roasts. 95% Syrah, 5% Viognier.
