This Bordeaux style blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot is deep and complex with a smooth, yet luxurious mouthfeel. Dark fruit flavors meld harmoniously with dark chocolate and spice notes to go with sweet toasted oak. 100% of the fruit that went into this wine came from Napa Valley and more specifically three vineyards: 43% Max Vineyard, 40% Brokenrock Vineyard, 17% Juliana Vineyard. This is a true gem of a wine and a steal below $40. 291 cases produced. 94pts and editor's choice from Wine Enthusiast.
Stewart Cellars is the collaborative project of founder Michael Stewart, his son James Stewart, daughter Caroline Stewart Guthrie, and son-in-law Blair Guthrie. Together, the family oversees all aspects of the winery’s operations: James, an artist who left behind a burgeoning career in television and music for hands-on work in sales, marketing and distribution; Caroline, who leads the day to day operations along with each wine’s development; and Blair, the winemaker who works closely alongside acclaimed consulting winemaker Paul Hobbs to capture the signature terroir of Stewart’s premier vineyards and vineyard sources.
