This is a rich, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma's famed Moon Mountain District AVA. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a young, powerful wine from a great vintage and will continue to evolve with age. It is also drinking well now, but be sure to decant for at least an hour before drinking. Dark berry flavors and sweet oak combine with supple tannins to make this a great Cab to pair with a hearty meal. 1,179 cases produced.
Ty Caton returned to his hometown of Sonoma in 1997 determined to turn his family's 108 acre ranch, located in the prestigious Moon Mountain District AVA, into a prime vineyard. Today, 40 of the 108 acres are planted to wine grapes, and they produce about 10,000 cases of critically acclaimed wine per year. These special wines truly express the quality of the fruit grown on their land high in the Mayacamas Mountains.
