Sourced from the Quinta del Mar Vineyard outside of Nipomo, this is Whitcraft's most fruit forward and instantly approachable wine that we've tried. Thanks to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean and those cooling breezes, the vineyard produces fruit of exceptional freshness and balance, which Drake then helps guide to a style that is unmistakably his.
When the Whitcrafts founded this pivotal estate, they drew influence from some of the best names in the wine world including Burt Williams, co-founder of Williams Selyem. Burt and Chris became not just colleagues but the best of friends as they built Whitcraft into a local treasure. The years went on, as they always do, and eventually Chris' son Drake joined the family business. In 2004, Drake assumed winemaking responsibilities at the winery and hasn't looked back since.
