Winestyr Review

Bold and balanced, this Pinot Noir from Wonderment Wines is a fantastic representation of the varietal. It is bold and rich, and possesses plenty of acid, earth, and spice, all in the right proportions to culminate in a superbly balanced and complex wine. Fans of Burgundies will almost certainly enjoy this Pinot Noir, 261 cases produced.

Wonderment Wines

Born and raised in Leesville, South Carolina, winemaker Stephanie Cook at one time used to travel the world as a fashion model, living and working in London, Milan and Istanbul. Upon returning home to South Carolina, Stephanie obtained a culinary degree (Magna Cum Laude) and made a successful run in the food and hospitality industry. After losing her father (the man who made homemade Muscadine wine in the laundry room) unexpectedly, Stephanie started down the path of pursuing her secret dream to become a winemaker. She met Bob Biale of Robert Biale Vineyards at a industry event in New York City and informed Bob that she was coming to work for him. True to her word, she worked that year's harvest in Napa, soaking up every bit of knowledge she could and she hasn't looked back. In 2011, she bought her own grapes and made her first Pinot Noir and two Zinfandels. Since doing so, Stephanie has continued to master her craft by working alongside critically acclaimed winemakers throughout the industry, all the while producing her own incredible wines as well. The constant improvement she strives to achieve is more than realized when you taste the wines she produces, and we are proud to have the opportunity to work with Stephanie and Wonderment Wines.
