Adelsheim (pronounced Addels-Heim) was founded in 1971 by David and Ginny Adelsheim with one pursuit: to create world-class wines in the undiscovered wine region that would later become Chehalem Mountains AVA, a venerable subregion of Oregon's famous Willamette Valley. One of the original, most influential, and most important producers of the region, Adelsheim has a long track record of producing some of the finest Burgundian-style Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays produced domestically. We're very proud to add some of their most exclusive wines to our portfolio.
Adelsheim’s winemaking philosophy hasn’t changed much in the last 40 years, and we think that’s a good thing. They’re still interested in making the wines they most love to drink—ageable, elegant, and complex wines that showcase the small corner of the world that is the Chehalem Mountains in Oregon. If you’re a fan of Burgundian wines, there’s a strong chance Adelsheim’s wines will be in your wheelhouse.
