This wine is an inky purple color in the glass. The nose of black currant and other dark fruit flavors hints at the intense darkness on the palate. The spicy finish exudes black and white pepper and exceptional minerality. This wine is a little lighter than some Petite Sirahs, but that has the effect of making it exceptionally quaffable. 50% Petite Sirah, 36% Syrah, 14% Malbec.
lder Springs Vineyard is known for producing exceptional fruit, specifically focusing on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Rhone red and white varietals. Arnot-Roberts, Pax, Kale Wines, Copain, Relic, Sojourn, Bedrock Wine Co, and Dirty & Rowdy are among the notable producers who purchase fruit from Alder Springs Vineyard which vouches for the quality of fruit being grown on Alder Springs' 6,000 acre ranch (only about 140 acres are planted) in Northern Mendocino, just 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean and ranging from 1,700 to 2,700 feet of elevation. We've gotten access to some very special allocations of their wines and are excited to make them available to you through Winestyr.
