Varietal Barbera

Vintage 2011

Winestyr Review

Barbera is one of Italy's top grape varieties, and has just recently started being cultivated in the U.S. It's known for producing wines with a lot of fruit and acid and not much tannins - and this wine definitely fits that description. One to pick up to expand your palate.

Andis Wines

Andis Wines is a passion project created by two successful entrepreneurs from Hawaii, Andy Friedlander and Janis Akuna. In 2010, they quickly began producing some of the most interesting wines that we've tasted to date. The winery focuses on seeking out the best vineyards in the Sierra Foothills to craft delicious, complex wines. If you haven't tried wines from Amador County, these will open your eyes to the up and coming growing region outside of Sacramento. We'd compare it to Napa...30 years ago. Enjoy!
