Winestyr Review

Cool weather Syrah continues its rise to prominence and this is a great example of why. Sourced from Clary Ranch, Que Syrah, Baker Lane and Solas vineyards. A medley of fresh blue and black fruits make for an explosively aromatic glass of wine, filled with youthful tension. On the palate, dried savory herbs and an intense floral bouquet carry through a long, persistent finish. The wine undergoes whole cluster fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Only neutral barrels are used and the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Arnot-Roberts

Arnot-Roberts was founded in 2001 in Healdsburg, California by childhood friends Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts. Duncan and Nathan grew up in the midst of vineyards and winemakers in the Napa Valley. Each took an interest in the wine industry, with Nathan following his father’s lead as a cooper, and Duncan pursuing winemaking in renowned wineries in Napa and Sonoma. The focus of this two person operation is on small lot, single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, as well as several other varieties uncommon in Northern Californian vineyards.

Smells like olives (yay). Not sweet at all, has distinct character without hitting you in the face/not too bold. Not too tannic. Would be lovely with a cheese board. Definitely drink again.
