This snappy Gruner Veltliner from Baker & Brain is their first release from their own plantings in Edna Valley and this wine is a gem. This wine seems to have its own lifeforce and when it hits your mouth, it releases its energy with an exquisitely pleasing mix of flavors. Green apple, stone fruit, crushed river rock, and lively acidity make for a complex, yet balanced wine that would pair well with a crazy variety of foods, but is equally enjoyable on its own. A great effort from Baker & Brain.
