Winestyr Review

Pinot Noir with this much balance, this much of an umami element, is not easy to find. Brian blends in wine from each vineyard site that they work with, proving this to be a holistic representation not only of vintage but of house style. 93 pts James Suckling

Big Table Farm

Brian Marcy and Clare Carver moved to Oregon from Napa in 2006 following a ten year stint of Brian working with the likes of Turley, Neyers, and Marcassin. What started out as a 150 case, mic-lot production project has grown into one of the most unique winery operations in the country. In addition to their 70 acres of vines, they have a wide variety of animals roaming the property making for a full fledged farm--hence the name. If you have time, visit their website and watch the stunning video biography that shows the beauty of their land and farm's vision.

I can’t put my finger on what it is I like so much about this wine. But for $45, it’s 5 stars. It has complexity and robustness that isn’t typical of pinots. It isn’t thin, not overly fruity. Would give it 4 stars if it was double the price, but for under $50 this is worth scooping up. Reordering.
