Made by a winemaking team of Katy Wilson (LaRue, Flowers) and Ross Cobb (Cobb, Flowers), this terroir-driven wine is elegant and complex. Lower in alcohol, lighter-bodied, and impeccably balanced, this intriguing wine begs you to take another sip as the flavors evolve in the glass. Decant for at least an hour as this wine will need to open up. Only 200 cases produced.
Claypool Cellars is the creation and vision of legendary musician and artist Les Claypool (of Primus fame) and his wife Chaney. Don't let this celebrity-turned-vintner story fool you though, because unlike other versions of this story, Les and Chaney take this endeavor very seriously and the wines are truly stunning. They have enlisted the rock star winemaking team of Ross Cobb (Flowers, Cobb) and Katy Wilson (Flowers, LaRue) and source fruit from some of the best vineyards in Sonoma County to make some very serious Pinot Noirs for true connoisseurs of the variety.
