This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the highest hillsides of their vineyards. The Ehret family, who sells much of their fruit to high caliber Cabernet producers you've definitely heard of, keeps the best fruit for themselves and makes the Hillside Reserve from those grapes. Deep currant and cassis flavors give way to oak and spice leading to a long, smooth finish of bright fruit. A very polished and graceful wine in its youth, it's approachable in its youth but will reward those who lay it down for 7+ years. 191 cases produced.
