Cassis and cigar box are supported by a lifted mint-chocolate chip note, reminding me that this is a Cabernet of under 14% abv. This does not however limit its density on the palate, as there is plenty of structure to be found. Decanting this wine for 30 minutes will go a long way in making in suitable for dinner.
