Sourced from their estate Cobb Mountain vineyard, this is another in a long line of fantastic Cabs from Fore Family. Cassis and cigar box are supported by a lifted mint-chocolate chip note that really drives the mid-palate. Decanting this wine for 30 minutes will go a long way in getting it ready for a dinner of grilled meats, hearty stews, or delicious BBQ.
The best part about the wine business, aside from the incredible wines themselves, is meeting all of the amazing people behind the wines. Jim and Diane farm their 17-acre vineyard on Cobb Mountain near Clear Lake, fulfilling the dream that started after Jim’s shipyard was closed down in the mid-1990s. This family operation has captured the hearts of Winestyr members vintage after vintage and if you have the chance, you should absolutely visit their new tasting room in Kelseyville.
