The Gramercy Cellars 2017 Mourvedre 'Lower East' is actually a blend of 75% Mourvedre, 20% Syrah, 5% Grenache finished with 50% whole cluster fermentation, resulting in a wine that straddles two worlds. On one hand, you've got all the smoked meat and pepper from Syrah and Mourvedre but on the other, there's a high-toned, red berry note throughout that livens up the palate.
Greg Harrington and his family moved to Walla Walla in 2005 after he had fallen in love with Washington wine while working in the New York City restaurant scene. Allured by the region's ability to blend New World freshness and fruit with the elegance and complexity of the Old World, the result has been one of the state's most acclaimed wineries.
