Varietal Petite Sirah

Vintage 2014

Winestyr Review

The fruit for this Petite Sirah was sourced entirely from the Juliana Vineyard in Napa Valley. The wine is fruit forward and easy-drinking for a Petite Sirah in its youth, but just beyond the fruit and American oak are delicious notes of earth, white pepper, black pepper, and tobacco. Great acidity and soft tannins, along with approachable fruit, make this a fun wine to drink now. I'd bring this wine to the lake for the weekend because it's so versatile with or without food and I can picture myself enjoying a glass while sitting around a fire with good company. Aged for 14 months in 20% new American oak. 250 cases produced.

Guthrie Family Wines

It doesn’t take long to see why Blair started Guthrie Family Wines as his creative outlet to supplement his day job of crafting the critically acclaimed wines of Stewart Cellars. As the name suggests though, it’s still all in the family. As he puts it, the wines he makes represent everything he loves and believes in: love for wine, family, and the dream that he lives everyday in wine country.
