750 ML / 13.5% ABV
Yet another brilliantly drinkable house red blend from Blair Guthrie, with Mourvedre leading the show and both Grenache and Syrah playing supporting roles. This wine always sees a bit of new oak, but it's down to 12% on the 2016 from 21% in 2015, and the wine always showcases a mouth watering acidity to balance out those bold, richly textured fruits.
It doesn’t take long to see why Blair started Guthrie Family Wines as his creative outlet to supplement his day job of crafting the critically acclaimed wines of Stewart Cellars. As the name suggests though, it’s still all in the family. As he puts it, the wines he makes represent everything he loves and believes in: love for wine, family, and the dream that he lives everyday in wine country.
