The Guthrie Family Wines 2018 Chateau Guthrie GSM is another brilliantly drinkable house red blend from Blair Guthrie, with Mourvedre leading the show and both Grenache and Syrah playing supporting roles. This wine always sees a bit of new oak, but it's very pared down, and the wine always showcases a mouth watering acidity to balance out those bold, richly textured fruits. Another winner from Blair, no doubt about it.
It doesn’t take long to see why Blair started Guthrie Family Wines as his creative outlet to supplement his day job of crafting the critically acclaimed wines of Stewart Cellars. As the name suggests though, it’s still all in the family.
