This Syrah-based blend has wonderful sophistication and complexity - which seems to be the hallmark of Guyomar's wines. Bright fruit and firm tannins lead to beautiful undertones of smoke, leather, oak, and pepper. This is powerful wine with finesse and manners. 46% Syrah, 28% Petite Sirah, 17% Zinfandel, 9% Grenache.
Guyomar’s estate vineyard, St. Peter of Alcantara, is located in the western part of Paso Robles AVA, known as the Templeton Gap. St. Peter of Alcantara benefits from ocean influence; the afternoon winds that cool the region during the growing season, as well as the increased rainfall that benefits the westside of Paso Robles. The vineyard was established in 1998, and Guyomar Wine Cellars' first wines, the 2010 vintage, were released at the end of 2013.
