This Pinot Noir really impressed me. Virtually no oak, this Pinot relies on racy (and impressive) layers of fruit that span the nose and palate from bright, fruit forward flavors to earth, herbs, and spice. This is a Pinot lover's Pinot Noir - true to varietal with bright acidity and a clean, long finish. This is a unique cooler weather Pinot Noir and it is truly delightful.
Kendric Vineyards is a small wine producer know for making racy, cool weather Pinot Noir in Marin County with very little oak, lots of acid, and intense complexity. The name Kendric comes from proprietor Stewart Johnson's late father who was instrumental in starting the Kendric Vineyards project. The importance of the name on the label is indicative of the care and passion that go into the production of each vintage - and the wines are exceptional.
