Lail Vineyards is the culmination of more than 100 years in the Napa Valley wine business. Robin's great-granduncle founded Inglenook Vineyards in 1879 and her father, John Daniel Jr., carried Inglenook's legacy forward from Prohibition until the winery's sale in 1964. Needless to say, the history and pedigree of this winemaking family is undeniable!
Philippe Melka heads winemaking at Lail today, with a resume featuring stops at Dominus, Chateau Haut-Brion, and Chateau Petrus. The estate comprises two hallmark vineyards, one on Howell Mountain and one in Yountville, but Lail's historic reputation opens the door to many of the Valley's top sites.
