LaRue Wines and its proprietor and winemaker, Katy Wilson, have showcased small lot Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for more than a decade to brilliant results. Named after her great grandmother Veona LaRue Newell, the label celebrates some of the most acclaimed vineyards up and down the Sonoma Coast. In addition to her own wines, Katy serves as the winemaker of several celebrated brands around the state like Anaba, Reeve, and Smith Story.
Utilizing relationships built over the course of her career, Katy has access to beautiful single-vineyard fruit like Rice-Spivak, Thorn Ridge, and others. The resulting wines straddle the fine line, and well we might add, between power and finesse which should speak to a variety of Pinot Noir enthusiasts.
