Winestyr Review

What an incredible introduction to our newest Willamette Valley producer. All seven organic, estate vineyards are blended together here to showcase Lemelson's beautiful house style of silky texture and ripe fruit sets. Just because it's an entry level wine, don't be mistaken: this is a serious Pinot Noir for short-term or long-term consumption. 93pts and Editor's Choice from Wine Enthusiast.

What We Love

  • All estate fruit
  • Organic vineyards
  • New producer to Winestyr

This dynamite debut is sure to quickly become a member favorite.

Experience

Eric Lemelson started Lemelson Vineyards with the long view in mind, first planting vines in 1995 before investing in another 30 acres just two years later. With the releasing of the estate's inaugural vintage in 2001, Lemelson announced its arrival to the masses. All seven estate vineyards are now certified organic and the gravity flow winery ensures the character of each vineyard is expressed in the final wine.

Where are the ratings?

Are the wines any good? Yes, they are and we taste every wine that is considered for our site. We seek out the best wines from the best small-producers in the U.S. and Winestyr is a collection of our favorites. Most of the wines have impressive accolades, however, don't look for "expert" ratings here - we think it's more important to buy wines you find interesting and to decide for yourself. Need some specific recommendations? Chat us in the lower right box or send our lead curator an email at bob@winestyr.com.
