After sampling this wine from tank on my visit to the winery, I knew we'd need to get our hands on some for summer. This is a bright, red and tropical fruited rosé that's meant to be enjoyed among friends and in the sunshine. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't plop down on the couch with a movie and open up a bottle for yourself!
Eric Lemelson started Lemelson Vineyards with the long view in mind, first planting vines in 1995 before investing in another 30 acres just two years later. With the release of the estate's inaugural vintage in 2001, Lemelson announced its arrival to the masses. The winery sits just a few minutes east of Carlton, the kind of sleepy wine country town that makes all of us consider packing up our lives and starting over there.
