This sexy Grenache from Mendocino County is everything we hoped it would be and more. Deep and dark in color, this complex wine opens up beautifully over the course of enjoying a bottle. Dark fruit flavors meld nicely with earthy hints of cedar and spice. This intense wine is perfectly balanced with appropriate parts acid and tannin. Simply put, this is a really unique and well made wine. Only 96 cases produced.
Lightning Wines is led by the husband and wife duo, Randy and Brooke Hester. This young couple has over a decade of winemaking and wine business experience with world renowned wineries in Napa Valley and Sonoma, but Randy and Brooke are now making their own wines, and they're some of the most interesting Rhone-inspired wines we've tasted. Their incredible fruit sources are spread throughout Northern California and are tended to by some of the industry’s best growers.
