This light, bright, crisp Rosé made with high quality fruit from three different esteemed vineyards (one in the Napa Valley AVA, one in the Dunnigan Hills AVA, and one in the Mendocino County AVA) is the quintessential Rosé to enjoy on the porch, at the lake, or on the beach all summer long. Coming in at 11.2% alcohol, this wine is light on the palate, but very bright and refreshing. Lovely notes of orange blossom, white pear, and a hint of wild blackberry will keep you coming back for more. Great on its own, but also a tremendous wine to pair with lighter summer dishes like ceviche, salads, or even mango guacamole or a fruit and cheese board. 40% Grenache, 34% Syrah, 16% Mourvedre, 4% Counoise, 6% Mixed Blacks. 2,383 cases produced.
Steve Matthiasson, who got his start as a heralded vineyard manager, and his wife, Jill Klein Matthiasson, an ivy league educated botanist, have become a formidable duo in the world of winemaking. The critical acclaim for their approach to farming, as well as their winemaking, and wines, seems to have no bounds. The list is too long to include here, but some of the highlights include recognition from the James Beard Foundation and winemaker of the year honors from California wine guru Jon Bonné of the San Francisco Chronicle.
