One of the leaders of the movement toward more balanced Napa Valley wines, Steve and Jill Matthiasson have farmed the Linda Vista Vineyard directly behind their house for over ten years. The wine is bursting with electric energy and flavors of apple, lemon, and honey with just the perfect amount of minerality and a round mouthfeel. Delicious!
Steve Matthiasson, who got his start as a heralded vineyard manager, and his wife, Jill Klein Matthiasson, an ivy league educated botanist, have become a formidable duo in the world of winemaking. The critical acclaim for their approach to farming, as well as their winemaking, and wines, seems to have no bounds.
